The new UF OneSearch

What is the new UF OneSearch?

The new UF OneSearch is run on the discovery platform Primo, and provides you with access to scholarly content like books, e-books, journal articles, e-resources, audio-visual material, open access resources, and more. It is also now the home of the UF Catalog and the OhioLINK catalog, through which you can borrow books from Shafer Library and from our partner libraries, and the Journal Finder, where you can find specific academic journals rather than books or individual scholarly articles.

Just like the old OneSearch, the new interface searches through the whole of resources available for you, if you want to search subject specific databases you can still find them via our Research Guides/ A-Z Databases button on the library homepage.

What's New?

You won't notice much of a change on the Shafer Library homepage, but when you go into a search you will be met with a page that looks like this. Unlike our old OneSearch interface, this one gives you more immediate options to search for books, newspapers, articles, etc. In addition to providing you with distinct options to search only resources available through University of Findlay Libraries or by our partners in OhioLINK.

This also allows you to sign in to your library account and check on your requests and loans without having to return to the Shafer Library homepage.

Logging in to your library account has also changed. Instead of using your barcode number, you will now simply use your usual UF Single Sign on information.
