To begin searching in MarketLine Advantage:
- Visit the database homepage with the link above.
- Type in your search terms into the search bar, or browse sources by using the dropdown tabs at the top of the page or with "Browse by" icons. There are the following browsing options: Sector, company, geography, database, and content type/analysis. Depending on the type of information you are seeking, you may want to browse to locate a specific industry.
- Select from the dropdown menu before clicking "Search" to categorize your search terms. This may be extremely helpful when searching for specific information.
- Click "Search" and view your search results, which are categorized by the following: Industry profiles, industry profiles (archive), case studies, analyst insights, companies, news, and deals.
- Refine your results using the refinements feature on the left side of the page. Click on the source that you would like to view by clicking on the source title.
Companies in the database also have their own profile pages, which can be useful in locating specific information about a particular industry. To search for companies, use the "Companies" search and/or browse icons.
You can also export company overview information as a PDF or Microsoft Word document by clicking on the "Export" icon on the right side.
