Information on using the SMART kapp capture board located on the west wall of the Learning Commons

What is the SMART kapp?

This white board allows you to capture (save) and share what you write on it. Only one mobile iOS or Android device can connect to the board when being used. The mobile device must have Bluetooth turned on and the SMART kapp app installed.

 

                        

How do I connect my mobile device to it?

1.    Install SMART kapp app from Apple App Store or Google Play by searching for “SMART kapp”, scanning the QR code in the lower left corner, or holding your NFC enabled device near NFC tag on the lower left side of the board.

2.    Enable Bluetooth on your phone.

3.    Start the SMART kapp app. Hold rear facing camera over the board’s QR code on the lower left. (NOTE: Only one device can connect to the board. That person share’s the session or captures with other people.)

How do I capture or share what I write on the board?

  • Share a live session URL with others via email by pressing the Invite (person icon with a +) in the SMART kapp app.
  • Save snapshots on your mobile device of what you write by pressing the Capture (camera icon) on the board or in the SMART kapp
  • Save snapshots to a USB drive by inserting USB on the lower right side of board. Press the Capture (camera icon) or the USB icon to save image.
