What is a research appointment?
A research appointment with a College Librarian is similar to an appointment with a writing tutor at the Writing Center. College Librarians (see below for names and subject areas) meet one-on-one with students or faculty who need assistance finding and/or citing source material. We provide you with strategies, techniques, or resources to ensure your sources are relevant, scholarly, and properly cited. We can also help with developing or narrowing topics, synthesizing sources, and more.
Why is a research appointment beneficial?
It offers individualized support. We talk specifically about your topic and project, and make sure you feel more comfortable with the research process overall.
How long are research appointments?
Length can vary. Appointments will last up to an hour, but you are welcome to schedule additional appointments with us.
