Finance Research Guide: Cryptocurrency

The paper provides an overview of cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance (DeFi). The discussion lays out potential benefits and challenges of the new system and presents a comparison to the traditional system of financial intermediation.

The presence of cryptocurrencies as means of trading and investing has presented new opportunities to make profits. Unfortunately, investment bias becomes a phenomenon that accompanies investing behavior for many people which actually results in losses and regrets. This study uses a narrative review method to identify cognitive, affective, and contextual factors that correlate with investment biases in cryptocurrency.

Objectives: Online platforms enable real-time trading activities that are similar to those of gambling. This study aimed to investigate the associations of traditional investing, real-time stock trading, and cryptocurrency trading with excessive behavior and mental health problems.

We investigate the phenomenon of solidarity cryptocurrencies by combining the societal and communitarian aspects of the traditional community currencies with the the blockchain architecture chosen in a cryptocurrency project.

Through our study, we studied the perception of the students of an economic faculty speciality which are at the end of their studies and who will soon become economists, and their attitude towards the cryptocurrencies.
