"Accessing Archives" is a workshop series brought to you by Shafer Library and the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE). It aims to teach UF faculty about Shafer Library's University Archives, archives research, and how to use archive materials in your courses. Below is the current schedule and session descriptions:

 

Session 1: Incorporating Archives into Your Courses

January 19th, 12:00PM - 1:30PM & January 26th, 3:30PM - 5:00PM

This introductory session will cover purpose of the University Archives and how you can use its materials to support core concepts in your classes. This session will also include an exclusive tour of the University Archives! (located on the second floor of Shafer Library).

Session 2: Conducting Archives Research

February 16th, 12:00PM - 1:00PM & February 23rd, 3:30PM - 4:30PM

Have you needed to conduct archives research, but feel overwhelmed at the options? This session will go over ways to successfully conduct archives research.

Session 3: Using Archives in Writing

March 23rd, 12:00PM - 1:00PM & March 30th, 3:30PM - 4:30PM

Join Shafer Library and the Writing Center as they cover the many ways that you can utilize archive materials in writing. The session will go over using primary sources as well as citing "unconventional" sources.
