What is the Ohio Open Ed Collaborative (OOEC)? How did it start?
The OOEC is a collective task force consisting of The Ohio State and Ohio Dominican Universities, as well as several Ohio community colleges. Their primary goal is to develop OER course packs common to the general education curriculum in an effort to reduce the cost of textbooks for students. Each course is led by a cohort consisting of faculty content teams (find/select/curate OER content) and faculty review teams (evaluate content teams' selections). The OOEC is funded by a $1.3 million Ohio Department of Higher Education grant.
Where can we find these OER course packs?
